i have a to do list...i know this list will change over time, added to, taken away.

1. have my art shown in public.
2. run a marathon or half marathon.
3. have my heart broken.
4. do something nice for a stranger.
5. witness something amazing.

over time some of these things will happen naturally.

my family digs me

So.

I went home to see my entire family and eat some good ol' fashion rez food. Little did i know that the entire community would come out and say hello.

I don't like alot of attention for what i did. It was just a job. That's it. So in natural fashion, I was very uneasy when i heard of what my family had planned. Color Guard, Awards, Gifts, Songs and a Plaque from the Navajo Nation. It was too much...but i figured my family had gone thru all this trouble. In the end, I had alot of fun. My family digs me.

I think the best part of the weekend was going out with my Boys and painting flagstaff three different colors of fun. Kitty, Chip, Bro, Lil Sis, Lil Sis's Boy Toy, Dwight, Furdale, Faye, Bro Shake, and all others won came out and gave our lives a workout. So much fun. I gotta get a camera so i can photoblog the shit out of nights like this.

Also, I got my discharge papers! Woo Hoo! Unemployment here i come...

the obama pledge

one thing about being back in the civilian life is seeing how stupid celebrities are. not only celebs but just normal everyday people. when i was in the marines, i was too busy focusing on how stupid the government is. it's great to have a view of how both sides act.

obama gets sworn in tomorrow and all i can think is..."fucking hollywood is making this president annoying." i voted for him and i think he is the best thing for the country, but all the celebs who are lined up to get a photo op or see if they can get some face time. i can't stand that shit. your voted didn't matter anymore than mine did. so get your ass in the crowd with everyone else. damn celebs.

but my idiot award goes to ashley simpson for making her 'obama pledge'.

seeing my parents again for the first time

so i went to visit my parents on thursday...they didn't expect me in until this monday.

i love the look on their faces. loved the hugs. love waking up in the morning to the smell of ma's cooking. love helping my little nephew put together his new lego set. loved everything.

didn't love the weather. i did love it, just not the fact that i am not used to it yet. so waking up at 3am just to hack up the biggest throat booger ever wasn't something i wanted to do over and over. nevertheless, i had a ball. ran into a bunch of family in, of all places, wal-mart.

natives love wal-mart.

less just gets better and better.

i have no job. little money. no real prospects.

life is good.

my brother and sis welcomed me home the best way the know how, with food. such a fat ass.

also, i am getting my phone replaced because some ass on NYE stole my phone and used it. people suck.

i guess it's time to start my life. it's now or never.

i leave hawaii today.

more importantly, i leave the marines today. flying home to arizona is gonna be surreal, almost as if the last 4 years of my life have been some weird cruel joke.

i will miss hawaii. i will not miss the marines.

all i know is that i need some good mexican food.
